Blinc Lash Primer Review

If you prefer video reviews then click here to see the review instead of reading, although I must say that this post will have more info since YT has a time limit on how long I can ramble.

If you follow my reviews you know that I really do like the KissMe Blinc products. So far I have tried 3 and really love them all. Last week I raved about how the mascara and liner held up to the steam during my facial and in January I gave my opinions on 3 popular tube mascaras with Blinc's coming out on top. So far their products really do live up to their promise and are worth every penny. If I could make any suggestions, over all it would be to knock the prices down a bit so that they are more affordable, especially in this economy but that's about it really.

According to Blinc's site this is what they have to say about their lash primer:

"Your lashes are exposed to the same environmental stresses as the rest of your body. Additional demands like continuous mascara application, curling, pulling and rubbing can lead to fewer and thinner lashes. Lash treatment is something that is often overlooked, yet your lashes play such an important role in how you look.

blinc Lash Primer was developed with two objectives in mind, lash/eyebrow treatment and eyelash enhancement. Whether your lashes are tiny and require a larger base to work with, in need of conditioning or you are simply looking for incredible volume & length, blinc Lash Primer delivers. Developed by blinc to complement Kiss Me mascara, it provides a greater base of volume & length for your lashes, prior to applying your mascara.

blinc Lash Primer is dye-free and does not contain any fumes or fragrances that will sting or irritate your eyes. Its anti-inflammatory and healing agents sooth and enhance the strength of your lashes/eyebrows while increasing their resistance to breakage. blinc Lash Primer is also enriched with Vitamin E which nourish by replenishing and augmenting the level of Vitamin B5 in your lashes/eyebrows. Together, your lashes/eyebrows are protected from damage caused by over-heating and/or over-drying, free radicals caused by the natural body process and environmental stresses like ultra-violet light.

blinc Lash Primer imparts long lasting moisturization, which conditions your lashes/eyebrows without any build up. But that is not all...an additional benefit is included in the formulation that allows the ingredients to build up a greater base of volume and length as additional coats are applied, allowing even people with hardly any lashes to notice an enormous difference. Best of all, blinc Lash Primer does not require any eye makeup remover...just lots of water and gentle pressure to remove."

Well, I pretty much agree with everything except the length part (watch review for more info on that since I think I explain it better visually that in writing). I have used many primers in my time (I told you, I'm a product junkie) and Blinc's is by far the best! It's colorless so you don't have to worry about covering the white stuff like on other primers. There are no fibers which is why it doesn't lengthen but with the right mascara you won't need to worry about that. And if you've tried their KissMe Blinc mascara then you know that it gives a lot of length so the combo together is awesome, but not everyone wants a waterproof mascara all the time and truth be told as much as I love the mascara not everyone is a fan. I think tube mascara is like exotic food, its an acquired taste. But no worries because the primer goes with any mascara. I've tried it with over half a dozen different mascaras and it complimented each one wonderfully. Now don't get me wrong, this product definitely coats your lashes and adds volume and really does condition them, it even helps smooth out some clumpy mascaras but it is NOT a miracle worker. If you have a crappy mascara don't expect the Blinc primer to miraculously change that.

As stated in the instructions,

1. Before mascara is applied, apply a coat of blinc Lash Primer and let it set for 30 seconds.
2. Apply another coat and let it set for another 30 seconds.
3. Repeat process until desired lash volume, length and separation is achieved, always letting it set 30 seconds in between coats.

I love that you can apply as much as you want and there is no clumping because I don't know about you but when I use the fiber kind of primer, after a while I end up with clumpy white lashes that might be really long but I only have a few since they all get stuck together. That doesn't happen with this primer. And it feels really good on your lashes. I know that sounds strange but if you've ever worn a bad mascara then you know the bad feeling it can give your lashes. This is the exact opposite. I swear to you my lashes look so much healthier on their own after using the Blinc primer for the past 2 months. And I lose less lashes.
I'll admit to rubbing my eyes when they itch and I sleep with an eye mask which is good for you in its own rite but it also rubs against your eyes/lashes during sleep as you toss and turn. There were plenty of mornings that I'd wake up and my husband would rub an eye lash off my cheek because I had lost a few at night. well that hasn't happened in ages. Who knew that a primer could do that. I didn't. I use a primer to get better looking lashes but if its going to help the overall lash health then all the more reason to use it right?

And it is totally safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers which is extremely important to me since I have really sensitive eyes and I wear contacts. This is definitely a 5 out of 5 in my book and I will be getting another tube when I run out of my current one.

Price rage is $15-$24

*This review as well as any others on my blog are not influenced by anyone or any company, they are strictly MY personal opinions based on trying the products myself. I do not expect everyone or anyone to agree with me. I am simply sharing information and conclusions that I have come to based on trying an individual product and I hope that somehow it helps someone else.
