Make Your Wallet Happy - A cheaper alternative

About a week or two ago Sardun1 started a new series. She didn't really say its a new series but to keep things simple I am :). Basically its to show that although a lot of us do buy and even prefer some of the high end products that there are cheaper alternatives that are just as good. Coincidentally the day that I watched her video I was going to do a quick dupe video on the NYX Jumbo Pencils so her video actually inspired me to do a video response showing more alternatives that in MY opinion are just as good, if not better than the higher priced items. As usual I ramble on way too much and ended up with a 2 part video.

Part 1 talks about cheaper alternatives to Mac Paints, Paint Pots, Shade Sticks and Lipsticks

Items shown in video:

Mac Paint in Chartreau (available at CCO) $16.50
vs NYX Jumbo Pencil in Lemon $2.99-$3.99

Mac Paint Pot in Indianwood (available at Mac stores & CCO) $16.50
vs NYX Jumbo Pencil in French Fries $2.99-$3.99

Mac Paint in Blackground (available at CCO) $16.50
vs NYX Jumbo Pencil in Slate $2.99-$3.99

Mac Shadestick in Sharkskin (available at Mac stores) $16.50
vs NYX Jumbo Pencil in Slate $2.99-$3.99

Other alternatives to Mac Shadesticks are the H.I.P. Color Rich Cream Crayons although the colros are more limited they are still a great item. $8-$12 but I suggest only buying during a BOGO sale

Sephora Lipsticks $5-$12

Part 2 talks about cheaper alternatives to Brushes and Eyeshadows
E.L.F. Blending Brush $1
E.L.F. Eyeshadow Brush $1
E.L.F. Concealer brush $1
E.L.F. Brow Spoolie $1
E.L.F. Eyeliner Brush $1

Mac Chrome Yellow $11-14.50
vs NYC Chrome Shadow in Yellow $3.99-$4.99

Mac Knight Devine $11-14.50
vs NYX Midnight $3.99-$5.00

Mac Black Tied $11-14.50
vs Paladio Black Onyx $3.99-$5.99

  1. This entry is great! You did a great job finding cheaper alternative and dupes. I can't believe how much Indianwood and French Fries are so alike. Crazy. It's nice to have these alternatives when the budget is tight :)

    Thank you!
