If you watched my Acrylic Nail Care video you heard me mention a few products that I use to keep my nails in tact.
Before I get to that let me explain again that my nails are all natural underneath, I have an acrylic overlay so that is why I do not consider them to be fake. If you want to see the difference between a sculpted nail and a nail that is natural underneath then please watch the video. I have had my nails this long and longer for over 20 years. There are few things that I cannot do. I type all day, I work on cars with my husband and even though I choose to not to house chores I can. I simply wear gloves to protect my hands and nails.
I get my nails filled every 3-4 weeks. 2 weeks is ideal but I pay far too much already and can't afford what it would cost to get them filled that often. The good thing is that with proper care and simply being careful I do not get many lifts and the out growth line does not bother me.
If you have any other questions that have not already been answered here or in my video then please leave a comment and I will do my best to respond.
I'm posting these pictures because I got so many comments about this polish on my channel and about other polishes that I'm thinking of posting a NOTM (nail of the month) every time I get them done with the new color and where it's available for those interested, this way I don't have to answer a bunch of comments with the same response either.
This is Dream polish by Savina that I wore in a bunch of videos that were posted at the end of Feb. thru the beginning of March. So far I have only found this brand of polish at Nordstrom Rack. I had just had then done about an hour before.

Before

After

The Dream polish was very bizarre. No where on the bottle did it say that it was light sensitive but it definitely changed according to if I was indoors or out just like it did with and without the flash.
And now on to the nail care products.
First and foremost I use Solar Oil by Creative. This stuff is amazing and really does make a difference if you have issues with lifting or pulling away especially during the Winter months. It comes in 3 different sizes and runs anywhere from $7.50-$15 I believe. I have 2 of the 3 sizes an pretty much carry it with me in addition to having it at home and in the car or my desk at work. Simply apply this to your cuticles and underneath your nails at least once a day or ideally after every time you wash your hands and it will help the acrylic adhere to your nails/nail bed and will help prevent the lifting and pulling away. I've tested it out and it really does make a HUGE difference and it takes only seconds so there really is no reason not to use it if you have acrylic nails or overlays
Solar Oil"WHAT IT IS:
A synergistic blend of naturally light oils and Vitamin E, designed to deeply penetrate and protect skin and nails.
WHAT IT DOES:
Jojoba Oil carries Vitamin E deeply into skin to help reduce visible signs of aging. Naturally light oils keep skin soft and supple. Keeps natural nails, nail color and nail enhancements tough and flexible. Repeated use drives oils deeper into natural nail.
WHY YOU NEED IT:
Super-penetrating formula conditions skin and nails."
There is also a product called Solar Balm which I have not used simply because the oil is easier for me for obvious reasons.
A "thickened" synergistic blend of naturally light oils and Vitamin E, designed to deeply penetrate and protect skin and nails.
WHAT IT DOES:
Jojoba Oil carries Vitamin E deeply into skin to help reduce visible signs of aging. Naturally light oils keep skin soft and supple. Keeps natural nails, nail color and nail enhancements tough and flexible. Repeated use drives oils deeper into natural nails and nail enhancements, maximizing the benefits and reducing service breakdown.
WHY YOU NEED IT:
Super-penetrating formula conditions skin and nails. Provides a convenient travel-friendly alternative to SolarOilTM"
In addition to the Solar Oil I use the Cuticle Eraser. Think of this as an enzyme mask for your cuticles. It feels and smells great and your cuticles instantly look better! I carry this in my purse usually.
Cuticle Eraser"WHAT IT IS:
An alpha-hydroxy cuticle treatment.
WHAT IT DOES:
Conditioning blend of alpha-hydroxy acids (A.H.A.'s) micro-exfoliates cuticles and moisturizes nail plate and surrounding skin.
WHY YOU NEED IT:
Helps prevent cuticle build-up. Conditions skin and prevents hangnails."
In addition to the above products I use AVO Juice by OPI, Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve or Avon Silicon Glove for my hands and I ALWAYS wear gloves when cleaning or working on the cars and especially in the winter when your nails are more susceptible to getting brittle and breakage.
I hope you found this information useful and helpful!

Wow! Your nails are crazy long but freaking gorgeous!! Thanks for the tips!
ANTM Thank you! But I'm hurt, all this time I thought you watched my YT vids :(. That's okay though we can still be BFFs it just means that my witty humor got me the "job" ;p
I think a NOTM would be a great idea!
Oh suga! I am sorry. I found you through GGG. I will tell you though I did watch two of your videos yesterday (before reading your comment) and your hair is so freaking long! I am jealous! :)
Your nails aren't "crazy long" they look great. Look forward to seeing more.
@jackieg02 I wish I would have thought of NOTM sooner since I'm always getting questions on my channel. If I do change my current polish myself I may do a random rainbow look just for pics of past colors and then pic one :).
Your nails are gorgeous, but how do you blog with those suckers??? Wow...they look thick and healthy. When you say you have an acrylic overlay, does that mean that your natural nails are the same length, but you have acrylic on top to add thickness??
@Sonya - you get used to them. If you watch my YouTube video that is linked in the post you'll here more info. To me the easiest comparison is hair - you don't notice when your hair grows until one day you realize its suddenly long, same with your nails if you don't cut them. ;) The acrylic is what makes them thicker and yes an overlay means just what you said. You can see my nails underneath in the video too. It's like a protective layer in a way so that I can keep them long without them being really fragile.
