Exercise...what's that?

That pretty much sums things up for me lately. I love how receptive my body is to exercise but I also hate it. I love it because once I get into a routine I can eat whatever I want and not worry about anything. I hate it because the minute I stop I can eat as healthy as I want and slowly the pounds start to sneak up on me. I've never been a gym rat but I am a dancer and as long as I am dancing things are fine, the minute I stop its all shot to hell. See love/hate. Ever since I started my new job last Summer my activity level has changed and not for the better. At my old job I worked in a 17 story building and a few of us formed a "stair master" group where we climbed 15-17 stories twice a day. In addition to that I had a walking group and we would walk a little under 2 miles 3 times a week, and on top of that I had dance. Wow, no wonder I could eat anything I wanted.
At my current company I work on the first floor of a 2 story building and it's hard to find people to walk with although we have a great walking area. I have gone on a few solo walks but it's just not as fun. Unfortunately the economy has impacted my dance classes on both levels. I can't afford to go 3 times a week any more and neither can a lot of other people which means that there aren't as many classes because the instructors have no one to teach. So here I sit, eating healthy but suddenly my clothes are fitting a lot better than they used to (I prefer my clothes to be a just a tad loose).
Now that I type all this out I realize that I need to get off my arse when I get home and do something. I have an elliptical in our spare room along with lots of other equipment. YT and Twitter and IM can wait so there is no need to stay glued to my laptop right? No one is going to die if I don't respond right away and I highly doubt anyone is sitting there just waiting for me to load another random video. So what is my excuse?

Motivation!

I've mentioned my old weight loss blog in the past right? Well when I was a regular participant in that community I posted daily and I would hold exercise challenges which helped not only myself but others that needed the motivation. So what do you think. Anyone here interested? Anyone else need a virtual workout buddy? Nothing too hard core just a weekly check in maybe? I'll do a weekly post and you comment. Just something to each other accountable? You could even make a little post on your blog if you wanted or even tweet about it.

What do you think? Are you interested? Let me know in the comments section if you are and when I do my weekly post I will list the names of those participating. The challenge would be to exercise at least 3 times a week for 40 mins each day or 2 hours a week broken up however. I realize that isn't very much but we want to start with baby steps otherwise its too easy to get discouraged. Plus if you do more then it feels like an even bigger success. It will start tomorrow June 5th till the end of the month. Are you in? Leave your comment below! :)

I just.. ugh.. exercise.. blahhh!
However am totally going to support you guys through this (whilst sitting on my butt)!

Also.. if you drink a strong cup of pepermint tea (I find that i like it cold so I out a tea bag in hot water let it cool.. put it in fridge and have it as ice-tea) your metabolism gets a fab kick start. THat really compliments healthy living. Peppermint oils from the tea absorb excess oild from food in the stomach.

Its 4.30am and im jetlagged.. i hope something I just wrote made sense!
